Tiene un plumaje finamente listado y vermiculado y un vuelo directo y silencioso que,&nbsp; unido a sus h\u00e1bitos nocturnos, hacen que pase desapercibido&nbsp; por sus presas y cae sorpresivamente sobre ellas. La cabeza es grande y redonda y no tiene \u201corejas\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hasta hace poco considerado como una subespecie del C\u00e1rabo com\u00fan, este&nbsp;tiene un plumaje variable desde pardo rojizo a pardo gris. El C\u00e1rabo del Magreb es&nbsp;solo pardo gris y en promedio es de mayor tama\u00f1o. No presenta diferencias morfol\u00f3gicas entre edades o sexos, aunque el macho es proporcionalmente de&nbsp;menor tama\u00f1o que la hembra. En la noche es f\u00e1cilmente localible por su continuo ululeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El C\u00e1rabo com\u00fan&nbsp;es residente en Europa, mientras que el C\u00e1rabo del Magreb como su nombre indica se distribuye por el noroeste de \u00c1frica, ambas especies son sedentarias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Habita en bosques, espacios abiertos con arboleda y poblaciones. Anida en huecos, en grandes horquillas de \u00e1rboles o en el suelo. Se alimenta de peque\u00f1os roedores, insectos, invertebrados, aves, conejos\u2026en zonas urbanas es un buen \u201craticida\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es una especie com\u00fan en Ceuta y se distribuye por el campo exterior, por el monte Hacho y por el casco urbano.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"taxonomy-post_tag wp-block-post-terms has-medium-font-size\"><a
